Terms of Service

Last updated: 23 June 2026

In plain words: Christian Truth or Dare is an offline party game. No account or sign-up. Player names stay on your device. The base game is free; an optional Pro subscription unlocks everything. The full details are below.

Welcome to Christian Truth or Dare, a wholesome Christian party game. These Terms of Service ("Terms") are a binding agreement between you and Gabriel Beslic, Homburger Landstrasse 455, 60433 Frankfurt am Main, Germany ("we", "us"), the operator of the Christian Truth or Dare mobile app and this website (together, the "Service"). By using the Service, you agree to these Terms; if you do not agree, please do not use it. Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle data and forms part of these Terms. If you are a consumer, mandatory provisions of the law of your country of residence continue to apply (see section 12).

1. Eligibility and minors

The Service is intended for a general audience and is rated suitable for all ages. To make a purchase you must be old enough to enter into a binding contract in your country of residence. If you are a minor, you may use the Service only with the involvement of your parent or legal guardian, and any paid purchase requires your guardian's consent. By using the Service you confirm that you are able to enter into this agreement, or that your guardian has done so for you and supervises your use.

2. The Service

Christian Truth or Dare is a pass-the-phone party game: players take turns choosing "Truth" or "Dare" and respond to faith-themed prompts across different decks and intensity levels. Gameplay runs fully on your device and works offline; no account or sign-up is required. The player names you enter are stored only on your device. We may add, change, or remove features, prompts, and decks over time. The Service is intended for wholesome fun and fellowship; it does not provide spiritual, legal, medical, or financial advice.

3. Subscriptions, billing, and your right of withdrawal

The Service is free to play, with an optional Pro subscription that unlocks every deck plus unlimited players and cards. Pro is a weekly or annual auto-renewing subscription (the annual plan includes a free trial). Prices are shown in the App before you buy and may vary by country and over time. Purchases are handled by the Apple App Store or Google Play through RevenueCat. A subscription renews automatically unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the period ends, and any free trial converts to a paid plan unless cancelled first. You manage, cancel, and request refunds through your Apple or Google account; because the store is the seller of record, we generally cannot refund directly.

If you are an EU consumer, you have a statutory right to withdraw from a purchase within 14 days without giving a reason. For digital content supplied immediately, you request that we begin straight away and acknowledge that you then lose this right of withdrawal once performance begins. The store's purchase flow captures this; if it does not, your statutory right is unaffected and you may contact us at support@christiantruthordare.app.

4. Game content and responsible play

The truths and dares in the Service are written to be clean, light-hearted, and faith-friendly. Even so, you and your group are responsible for how you play. Please use good judgement: skip any prompt you are not comfortable with, respect everyone's boundaries, play safely, and follow any applicable rules of the venue or group you are in (for example a church or youth-group setting). The prompts are suggestions for fun and fellowship — you are never required to do anything that is unsafe, unkind, or against your conscience.

5. Intellectual property

The Christian Truth or Dare name, app, design, text, prompts, decks, and software are owned by us or our licensors and are protected by law. We grant you only the limited licence to use the App described in our EULA. You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, or create derivative works from the Service or its content without our permission, except as allowed by mandatory law.

6. App store terms (Apple and Google)

If you download the app from the Apple App Store or Google Play, the following also applies and prevails for app-store matters:

7. Third-party services

The Service relies on a few third parties — Apple and Google (distribution and in-app purchases) and RevenueCat (subscription management) — and your use is also subject to the stores' terms. We are not responsible for services we do not control.

8. Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available". TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, WHETHER EXPRESS, IMPLIED, OR STATUTORY, INCLUDING ANY IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT, AND WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR SECURE. This does not exclude or limit any warranty or right that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law. Nothing in these Terms limits any rights you have as a consumer under mandatory law, including your statutory rights to a Service that conforms with the contract.

9. Limitation of liability

We are liable without limitation for damages caused intentionally or by gross negligence, and for injury to life, body, or health. In cases of slight negligence, we are liable only for breach of an essential contractual obligation (an obligation whose fulfilment is necessary to properly perform the contract and on which you may reasonably rely), and such liability is limited to the foreseeable, typical damage. Any further liability is excluded. Mandatory statutory liability, including under product liability law, remains unaffected.

10. Indemnity

If you breach these Terms or the law and a third party brings a claim against us as a result, you are responsible for that claim to the extent the law makes you responsible and to the extent the matter is attributable to you and not to us. Nothing in this section increases the liability of a consumer beyond what applies under statutory law.

11. Suspension and termination

You may stop using Christian Truth or Dare at any time by deleting the App. We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms or the law, or to protect the Service. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination (such as intellectual property, disclaimers, and limitation of liability) will survive.

12. Governing law and dispute resolution

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Germany, excluding its conflict-of-laws rules and the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods. If you are a consumer, this choice of law does not deprive you of the protection of the mandatory provisions of the law of your country — or, in the United States, your state — of residence. We do not require you to arbitrate disputes or to waive class actions; you may bring claims in the courts that mandatory consumer law makes available to you.

We are not obliged and are generally not willing to participate in dispute resolution proceedings before a consumer arbitration board (Verbraucherschlichtungsstelle).

13. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time — for example to reflect new features or changes in the law. If a change is material and affects your rights or obligations, we will give you reasonable notice (for example in the app or on this website), and your continued use of the Service after the change takes effect means you accept it; any change that would significantly disadvantage you will be treated as material, and you may reject it by ceasing to use the Service before it takes effect. We will always update the "Last updated" date above.

14. Miscellaneous

If any provision of these Terms is or becomes invalid, the rest remain in effect, and the invalid provision is replaced by the valid rule that comes closest to its purpose. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver of it. You may not transfer your rights or obligations under these Terms without our consent; we may transfer ours to a successor that takes over the Service, without reducing your rights. We are not liable for failures caused by events beyond our reasonable control. These Terms, our EULA, and our Privacy Policy are the entire agreement between us about the Service.
